70 vs 80 vs 90 Inch Headboards: Which Height Is Right for You?

70 vs 80 vs 90 Inch Headboards: Which Height Is Right for You?

Written by the Valtiva Team

Valtiva Las Vegas tall headboard bed frame

Every VALTIVA Tall Headboard bed comes with a genuinely tall 70 inch headboard as standard — already taller than most beds you'll find elsewhere. But if you want to make an even bigger statement, you can increase that height right on the product page before you order.

The Three Options, Confirmed

Height Price
70 Inches (Standard) Included as standard
80 Inches +£50
90 Inches +£50

Why 70 Inches Is Already Tall

For context, a typical UK bed headboard sits somewhere around 40–48 inches. At 70 inches as our standard, every VALTIVA Tall Headboard bed already stands well above what most bedrooms are used to.

When 80 Inches Makes Sense

The jump to 80 inches adds a further 10 inches of presence — works particularly well in rooms with standard UK ceiling heights (around 2.4m), where a full 90 inches can start to feel like it's competing with the ceiling itself.

When 90 Inches Makes Sense

The full 90 inch option is the right call for genuinely high-ceilinged rooms — period conversions, loft bedrooms, or any space where a 70 or even 80 inch headboard would look slightly lost against the proportions of the room.

A Practical Way to Decide

Standard ceilings (around 2.4m) suit 70–80 inches comfortably; genuinely tall ceilings (2.7m or above, common in period properties) are where the full 90 inches starts to look proportionate rather than oversized.
